Hi. I am a videographer, and I want to buy a second iPhone 15 Pro Max, 1TB to fit into my current eco-system of cages and whatnot.

I did NOT know that Apple's releease party was yesterday, and now all of the iPhone 15 Pro Max's are GONE!!! 🥲🥲🥲

I found a new iPhone 15 Pro Max online, but it come with StraightTalk prepaid and apparently that means it is locked with StarightTalk **forever**.

IN THEORY, I will only ever use this iPhone for videography (and photography) and NOT use it as a mobile phone.

But is it a bad idea to spend $1,600 and be bound to StraightTalk **forever** - even with my use-case???

Anyone?

It looks like the only iPhone 15 Pro Max, 1TB that can find comes preloaded with either StraightTalk or getting locked into some telecom contract.

It is sooooo STUPID that I cannot buy a new, unboxed iPhone 15 Pro Max after the Apple launch date.

You only need 60 days of straight talk service to unlock the phone.

(Note that straight talk is a Tracfone brand, which is in turn owned by Verizon)
  • For all cellphones Activated with TracFone service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked automatically, sixty (60) days after Activation.

So if I buy a prepaid StraightTalk (TracFone) then does it presumably comes with one-month of service already on it?

And if I wanted to reach the 60-day period, then would I have to sign up with Verizon to get the additional 30 days?

All I know is that there is a 60 days of service requirement for all of Verizon's brands. You'll need to contact Straight Talk for further information.

If I buy an iPhone with StraightTalk on it from Walmart, then is Verizon going to stalk soliciting and stalking me?
