I'm using GB with a G5 & Panther.
Couple of problems that I'm hoping someone can help with. I'm able to use
my Casio to get sound in but the sound
OUT is coming through the internal Mac
speaker. In GB midi prefs it says that
GB is detecting 1 Midi In and that's
all. Should it also say 1 Midi OUT too?
I'm also using an M- Audio Uno interface
and their instructions were wrong(I called
them). THe IN midi plug goes to the IN
midi on the keyboard! Also, how do you
get the bilion sounds from the keyboard
to be recorded on GB tracks? Are they
going to show up as sound waves like
a "Real Instrument"? I AM able to get
most of this working with a tryout version
of Intuem 2 so it's something I don't get
about GB. Thanks for your help.

GarageBand doesn't support MIDI Out. If you want to record using the billion sounds from the Keyboard, you're going to have to record the Keyboard as a real instrument - just take a patch cord from the headphone out of the keyboard into your audio input jack and do it that way.
