Configuring emails in Apple Mail

I am constantly facing problems in setting up email to work properly with my mac-mini which is set up in my Mumbai, India home. I tried AOL, gmail and even dedicated email but they all failed. It is always saying "Cannot send email with selected server" and to edit SMTP Server List. In Qatar I use an apple email ending in ".me". Is there such specific Apple email for India? Also kindly let me know the settings for POP, IMAP, SMTP for Google, Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail so that I can set the Apple Mail to work correctly.
