Looking for advice on setting up a VM as a secure browsing environment on a new MBA M2. VM env would be configured to be completely erased on exit.

It's for personal use only and so prefer a free player: VMware Fusion, VirtualBox, other? I've used VirtualBox previously but saw that Fusion now has native M2 support so may be better?

Best small Linux images for this purpose: Linux Lite, MX Linux, other? Smaller the better as I'll get the 16GB RAM MBA upgrade but hoping to live with the 128GB base model storage.

So far only found this 2020 guide about using VirtualBox - https://www.neowin.net/guides/build...nt-with-virtualization-how-to-use-virtualbox/

Any guidance or thoughts appreciated!

The free VMware Fusion will work well to run virtualized arm64 linux. All the base model Airs are 256GB storage, but it's pretty easy to find yourself tight on space.
