Massive UI lag and awful battery life. They're gonna kill the classic, definitely, but it won't be replaced with something sporting a hard drive.
Most of the UI lag isn't even the fault of the Hard Drive, no other Hard Drive based iPods lag as much as the classic.

HD will create too much lag in the system.
Also, with the touch going to 64GB this year, the need for the Classic due to it's capacity is decreasing. A year or two from now, flash memory will exceed the Classic's capacity.
Don't see this happening either.Basically just the touch interface from the Touch's iPod app... No more.
