Confused about internet

i have an iphone unlocked in the UK and use my own sim

i dont get internet with this card and if i go on the net it costs me 30p a day

but i have disabled EDGE in prefs (its only a 2G iphone) and use an APN faker


this means that whatever app i go on on my iphone it cant open the internet, not even mail can, but this weekend i downloaded colloquy (irc client) and since then im being charged for connecting to the internet, if i click on the app it doesnt actually connect but somehow it is connecting when im not trying to =/

And are you on wifi?

i can use wifi at home

its just i never ever been charged before and now this app is costing me 30p a day every day without even going on it

at elsat i think its this app! only thing ive changed

Hate to be Captain Obvious but I would suggest getting rid of the app and finding an alternative.

How can it connect and to what internet account if your apn settings are changed to block it?
I never heard of anyone still getting carrier data with a block
like that.
