I have different sets of photos showing between the photostream on my iPhone vs the iPad vs iPhoto on my Mac. They all seem to have different sets of photos. On the iPhone, it seems to not date as far back as my iPhoto on my mac.

I'm also confused to which version of the photostream actually plays on my AppleTV and Macbook when I have the screensaver on.

Apple removed the 30-day time limit on the photostreams a few months ago. Now, iCloud will store up to 1,000 photos with no time limit. Since removing this restriction, there was catching up to for new devices.

I am guessing that you either purchased a new iPhone, restored or updated it within the past few months. This is why you have fewer photos in your stream compared to older devices (such as your Mac).

Going forward, your photostream will hold up to 1,000 photos with no such 30-day time limit. But I don't believe it is possible to sync these past photos before the rule change.
