Confused by DND

iOS 14.8.1 on iPhone 12 mini.
Turned on DND on my phone with a ‘scheduled’ “23:30 to 07:30”.
although I set this up at about 10:00 today, WHY am I getting a notification that notifications will be silent until 07:30 tomorrow? Surely DND should not be activated until 23:30 tonight ?

As you’ve probably experienced, iOS nagware has increased with every new version of iOS because dum dums forget something- then something happens and they blame apl. The ios experience is geared towards the lowest common denominator.

I’m not querying the ‘nagging’ ……
My question is to why ….
