I have the Pandoraskip hack and listen a lot on my phone. got this email today and I am confused? anyone else get this too?

You are approaching your free listening limit
We wanted to let you know that you are approaching your monthly free listening limit on your mobile device. Pandora gives you 40 hours of free mobile listening per month.
Why is free mobile listening limited?
We have three options for you to continue listening once you've reached the free listening limit:

1. Subscribe to Pandora One for $3.99 per month for unlimited listening, no ads, fewer interruptions and more.
2. Pay $.99 to continue listening for the rest of this month (you'll still have advertising). This is a one-time fee; we won't charge your account again.
3. Listen on your computer, which is always unlimited.

Your free hours reset on the first of every month.
Thanks for listening!

I got that email too wondering why I got it though never even use pandora last time was probably months ago?!? Is it because I have pandora skip installed?

Not sure how I can be "...approaching my free listening limit."

??

Why is it limited on phone but not on computer? its still listening to service so why would it matter from where? stupid:mad:

Probably due to mobile being more popular. Try considering it from Pandora's perspective versus your own.

It *is* limited on a computer.
Citation? From what I received from Pandora (same as the OP) the 40 hour limit is only for mobile.

I must correct myself. Desktop listening was limited to 40 hours, but apparently that was changed in September of 2011. The current re-introduction of the 40-hour limit is for mobile devices only.

For the exact same reason that to use spotify on mobile you need to pay and to use spotify on the PC for free.

People use them on mobile - not PC (at least the majority of the time) so it allows them to make money.

dat limit is such bull

They are bleeding money fast. They have to find a way to make money and ads don't seem to be cutting it. People who are using skip hacks and bypassing limits are only killing a service they like.

What's bull is the fact that even if you pay they force you to listen to crap quality on mobile devices, and you only get the full quality on a computer. It's why I go to spotify even though the radio sucks in comparison

The limit is 40 hours OR 600 tracks per month. If you have the pandora one tweak it shouldn't limit you though, correct?

Well there's a certain "tweak" that gets you stuff in-apps. I just did it and I'm on pandora one now. I'm sure you're a smart guy and can figure it out
