Ok I am confused here,

Today T-Mobile announced their major shakeup of new pricing, and being the first contract free big carrier in the U.S. ok that's great and hope more do that. And supposedly the best lowest pricing. But I don't understand this.

T-Mobile just came out with "Go Smart" last month, it is like Straight Talk, but officially through T-Mobile, and T-Mobile customer service, and contract free.

Go Smart is $45/Month, for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and 5GD/Data = HSPA+ 42mb/sec.
https://www.gosmartmobile.com/

Where as the new T-Mobile deal is $60/Month for Unlimited minutes, Unlimited texts, and only 2GB/Data
http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/individual-plans.aspx

Why wouldn't you go with "Go Smart" for $15 less per month, and 3GB more data allowance ? Both deals still officially through T-Mobile, and same customer service, same everything, this is not Straight Talk.

I am not 100% positive on this so don't kill me if I'm wrong but I believe the difference is with Go Smart you have to buy phone for 100% of cost whereas with new plan you can still finance phone out

Yes. True.

But Tmobile new plans today allow access to their new lte network launch in 7 cities. Not sure about prepaid $45 plan.

Straight talk $45 isn't allowed on ATT lte network either.

Even the unlocked price of a phone with T-Mobile is cheaper than buying unlocked new from Amazon or whatever.

Also, don't forget the Wal-Mart T-Mobile plan. If you don't jump on that, it might be too late. T-Mobile's Wal-Mart Plan = $30 a month, 100 minutes, unlimited text and 5GB of 4G data.

With T-Mobile's LTE rolling out, that's the no contract plan you want to jump on.

I have a question. Now that T-Mobile has this new, no contract thing, and selling phones for competitive prices.

What is the Nexus 4 going for today at T-Mobile ? It should be $349 for 16gb not one penny more.

Maybe, but its still a unlocked phone that is cheaper than any other at their price. But i agree id like to see it at $349 in their stores.
