ok so i have an X 256gb, i was told it has a $200 trade in value. If i buy phone thru Verizon it says payment is $45.79 before trade in. but then i see a special verizon trade in deal thats $9.96 over 30 months, but states after $800 trade in credit, but it said my trade in is only $200? im really confused, apple rep just told me that if i choose this verizon special 30 month offer they indeed give me $800 trade in for my X but it stated $200 trade in value. he siad if you commit to the 30 month special deal with verizon they give you the $800 credit for locking in 30 months. but then the deal also says i have option to upgrade every year? im so confused, can anyone help before i have to call them again to ask? thanks guys

I don't think you select the Apple trade-in offer when you order. Last year, it was just choose device payments and then process the trade-in directly with the carrier.

This year, I believe Apple is facilitating the actual device trade-in but instructions aren't available yet. Honestly, probably best to do this in-store if you have an Apple Store nearby.

P.S. Just checked the terms and it looks like they've modified it versus yesterday and increased the credit from $700 to $800. It also now includes terminology regarding Apple in-store credit.

With all the confusion and lack of clarity, if I were planning to do a trade-in for the $800 credit, I'll definitely be doing it in-store.
