Perhaps "other" could be documents, and iPhone/iPad backups?

Are there any programs or utilities that can let me see which of my files are considered "other"? I'm definitely not surprised by how much space is used, as the size was relatively similar in my previous macbook, which I transferred to here.

I installed ML the day after it came out, but I swear I noticed it right when I transferred my files, which was before I installed ML. I also noticed it whenever I had Lion, but I figured that it made sense, because whenever I had Lion my music file storage was the same in system storage and iTunes. Maybe you're right though. How do I know if it indexes the drive?
