Okay, I'll admit I have a mbp that not to old and have been waiting foru new Mac Pros. Then the 6/12 and others came out. My main apps are logic, Photoshop, Aperture, lightroom, Final Cut. M

The reason I ask is two fold, one, I see a lot of 2et 010 quad bench marks, one even had the same speed,2.8, although ssible thI'm sucre it's aee different chip, ala Westmere or somethings and r two, it's Temr first time I've EVER seen a reviewer mention that Mac Pro users migh t go for the i7 iMacs and really have a hard time believing that Apple will wait until November to Release the speculated rack Mac Pro and lose quite a few sales as I know professional songwriters that use iMac, so it is possible that they lose sales unless they keep the towers for mid range, fill with i series, add thunderbolt pci slots and can ship thEm in a week and fill the void Applle has had for a while.

All doubtful, but who knows. It's just the loss of sales I've never heard before.
Does anyone or has anyone seen the new i7 benchmarks?

Thanks, Godspeed and may everyones dream happtnmthos hear and beyond!!!

Okay, I'll admit that I have a MBP that is not too old, and I have been waiting for new Mac Pros. Then the 6 core/12 threads CPUs and others came out. My main apps are Logic, Photoshop, Aperture, Lightroom and Final Cut.

The reason I ask this is because I see a lot of 2010 quad benchmarks. One even had the same speed, 2.8Ghz, although I'm sure it's a different chip; Westmere or something. It's the first time I've ever seen a review mention that Mac Pro users might go for the i7 iMacs, and have a really hard time believing that Apple will wait until November to release the speculated rack Mac Pro and lose quite a few sales. I know professional songwriters that use iMacs, so it's possible that they will lose sales unless they keep the towers for midranges, filling them with the Intel i series, add Thunderbolt PCI ports and can ship them in a week, filling the void that Apple has had for a while.

All doubtful, but who knows. It's just the loss of sales that I've never heard before. Has anyone seen the new i7 benchmarks?

Thanks, Godspeed and may everyone dream happtnmthos ( ) here and beyond!

That made a little bit more sense... glad I'm not the online who looked at it and was like.. "uhh, what?!?"

My personal opinion, Apple waits too long to refresh their products, but you can't lie... THINK ABOUT IT! If they release a new product split between the different fiscal quarters of the year.. their overall sales are high each quarter.
