Cool idea but iCam requires you to have all your computers on and running around your house. Seems like a colossal waste of energy and what about those of us that have reduced our possessions down to a single computer? Are there wireless self sufficient webcams out there?

all your computers? no - just one. And you don't even need to have the screen on. I've set mine to power off the screen while using it...

And yes - you can get a linksys wireless camera. You can also spend over $100 vs 4.99 for the app....
