Connect 360/Xbox stuck at loading screen

All of a sudden, I can't watch anything on my HDTV with Connect 360 off of my Mac. When I try to watch a movie on the 360, it freezes on the loading screen. Is this a problem with the 360? Wish I had a Mac Mini right now.

Also...my xbox screen has started flickering but it's intermittent. Am I screwed? I highly doubt it's the TV.

EDIT: Can the 360 play MP4 fils?

Not sure about why your xbox is freezing.

The xbox can play m4v files.

My Xbox 360 is out of Warranty, they want $360 for the repair? Completely unreasonable or? Do I have any other options?
