Hey I am running 10.10 and using an iPhone 6. I would like to connect both devices via BT (both devices support BT LT) but I continuously receiving error messages, like unable to connect.

I thought this would be fixed with the new public beta but this isn't the case. I already tried other suggestions found in the forum like reset networking settings but non of them are working. By the way it is working via personal hotspot setup.

General questions, is it possible to connect both devices at all - maybe the functionality doesn't exist?

Connect them with Bluetooth for what functionality? They do use Bluetooth for things like Continuity/Handoff and Hotspot like you mentioned. If you are trying to do Bluetooth File Transfer, that will not work. You can use Airdrop which again uses Bluetooth for discovery but it does not require that you actually pair them.

Correct Continuity / Handoff - I don't want to use WIFI for this.

Thanks

I cannot pair my iPhone 6 on iOS 8.0.2 with my Late 2011 MBA on Yosemite Beta 4 either??? I set both to discoverable and nothing. Tried reboots, resets and still nothing. My iPhone 4S would paired with my MBA no problem.
