I have a 2nd gen 12.9 iPad Pro and would like to show my movies and slideshows on my tv.( Sony 85in 900f)
is this possible? What do I need and how to do it?

Terry,

You can use THIS adapter from Apple. Simply attach an hdmi cable and power source and connect to your iPad. This will mirror whatever is on your iPad to your Sony TV. Only thing left to do would be to select the input on your TV for whichever hdmi port you connected to via your TV remote.

If it's the 2nd gen pro, you need the lightning to HDMI not the USB C to hdmi as suggested above...
Also, buy only Apple genuine adapters, any other non Apple adapters are scams and will not work

I knew it was the lightning to hdmi adapter, linked the wrong one. Thanks for pointing this out. Link edited above to correct item.

How can you be so sure that all third-party adapters are scams?
That has been my experience and the experience of people I know... I seems that Apple prevents anything non genuine from working or working properly and the is no way around it...
