hello

I need to connect my old Apple Display to my new iMac.
https://everymac.com/monitors/apple/studio_cinema/specs/apple_cinema_display_20_2.html

Got old DVI to mini display dongle (worked in iMac 2013)
and added new mini display to usb C dongle but it doesn't work in that combination

Will DVI to USB C dongle work with that display?

Thanks

What is this dongle? For your information, the Apple TB3 to TB2 adapter dongle has these connectors but will not work for video (except when you have a Thunderbolt monitor.)

You may need an active DisplayPort to DVI adapter. A lot of GPU's supported a hidden DVI over DP mode which allowed cheap cable adapters to DVI. Now that there is a Thunderbolt interface in the way, this doesn't work. Now you need active circuitry that converts.

Have you considered a trying a Thunderbolt hub with video output(s)?

That mini display to usb c was some cheap one from polish site allegro. doesn't work.
I have Display Port out on my Lacie 2big Dock Thunderbolt™ 3.
So can I use something like this:

and connect it to Lacie?
