Hi - I'm afraid I am a complete Mac beginner and so I am asking a very simple question (I have searched by the way - my problem is too simple to have appeared before I think!).

My girlfriend has a G3 (blue/white), think its running OS9 and wants me to connect it to the wireless connection I have at home for the 2 PCs we have.

My question is - what do I need to connect to the wireless network? Can I connect it via USB?

As I said - sorry for the simplicity but this is the "Mac Basics" section!

Well, you can install a wireless PCI card in the G3, and then configure it in either OS X or OS 9 pretty painlessly. Or you can connect to the wireless router via a standard ethernet cable directly from your ethernet port to the router. For this make sure you set your internet connection type to "Using DHCP" (under the control panel "TCP/IP" for OS 9, or under system preferences->network, go to "Built-in ethernet" under "Show" and under the TCP/IP tab, choose "Using DHCP" under the "configure IPv4 tab.)
