I have used a Dell U2713h for years with my old Late 2013 Macbook pro. But the old MacBook was not supported by Monterey, so it was time for a new one. I ordered a Macbook Pro 14", but I ran into issues with the dell display.
With the old MacBook, I had to change the EDID information because the late 2013 MacBook did not correctly communicate with the display. But with the new M1 Macbook, the whole display is not recognized.
I have two external displays. One BenQ and an older Dell U2713H. I ordered a USB-c to Displayport cable, and with the BenQ, this works fine. But the same cable with the dell display does not work, and the display is not detected.
It works with HDMI, but it does not have the correct display resolution. And a problem with RGB and YPbPr.
Who has a solution? An idea or is experiencing the same problems.
