Okey:
This is the setup:
I have a Sony receiver with HDMI input and output.
It's connected to my HP W2408 trough a HDMI to DVI connector.
Because I don't like to switch the cables all the time I've connected my MBP with VGA at a 1920x1200 resolution
But when I'm playing video or I'm working in Sketchup the screen doesn't always follows the movements on the display. There is a slight delay.
So I'd like to use DVI again for the video output without downgrading it to VGA.
If I start with DVI on my MBP, switch it to HDMI, connect it to the Sony Receiver with the video-data going trough the Sony device with an HDMI output, converted back to DVI and is finally connected to my HP display.
Would I still have a good image quality, or more important, does this work?
