Hello.
Not sure where to post this so I thought I'd try in this forum.
As the title says, I' want to see if it's possible to connect an old Mac Mini (OS no later than 10.6.8) to a new Studio Display?
Is this possible? Is it just a matter of buying a thunderbolt to HDMI connector?
Some background ... this is for scanning film negatives on a Nikon film scanner from around 2005 but I also want to use the original Nikon Scan 4 software because I like the "filmy" looking scans it produces. I realise there's more modern software that works with the latest Mac OS such as Vuescan (which I also use), but I want to use this older original software as well sometimes.
Since I already own a Studio Display I thought I may as well buy an old Mini and hook it up to the ASD instead of buying a dedicated old MBA or something but not sure if it's possible. Unfortunately, the latest OS the software works on is 10.6.8. Working on a 27" screen is also a lot better than an 11" screen
Does anyone know if this is doable or will I have problems or need some sort of hub?
Thanks,
Dean.
