As per title.
I have a 2006 dual ethernet port G5 that I sold to friend who only uses it for storing music movies and photos.
After loads of wifi problems(even installed an airport express rather than rely on standard wireless router) I got a three metre ethernet cable and connected it directly to the computer.
I worked perfectly until recently but now the ATV2 does not see the itunes library when connected this way.
I can try to swap the cable but I would really like to know if it's possible to leave the ATV2 connected this way and somehow access the internet via the G5 being on the home wireless network?
thanks
