Usually via Bluetooth, you can do either phone calls or music. Some cars (likely older ones) might only support phone calls.

Pull out the car's user manual and go through it. The dealership might be able to help you too.

It's a 2022 Toyota with Apple Car Play.

A cable works just fine, but it's a nuisance , often in the way.

I'll call the dealer, maybe they'll know.
