connecting iphone to PC HELP!!!!!

i am from . i recently recieved an unlocked iphone 3g from one of my relatives abroad. it has a 8gb memory.

I want to know how can i connect to the pc without any problems. Will it hang if i connect it via itunes. i f i turn off the internet will it still create any problems. IF YES what are the other ways to put songs and movies in its memory.

I use a WINDOWS XP operating system.

Nope, it should not "hang" and should work with WinXP without any issues.

sorry for the incomplete sentence. I am from INDIA

well the relative who gave me it said that dont connect it to the pc via cable as it may hang or might restart again and again.

He said that connecting via WiFi will not be any problem.

I am putting a sim of my own and at&t does not have a network in india. So can i connect it to pc via itunes safely

ALSO is there any way to cnnect it in data storage mode as in Nokia and SE.
