hi,

can anyone tell me what the video and sound quality is like when an iPod is connected to a non-High Def TV via the AV port?

what size is the picture?

I'm about to buy a connector but would like to know first if it worth it.

cheers.

It is pretty decent. I have one for when I travel. It is not HD video with surround sound but the movies and tv shows are very watchable.

would you say not as good as DVD, but better than VHS?

does the video show on all the TV screen?

Better than VHS but not as good as DVD would be about right.

As for it showing full screen, it depends on the aspect ratio of the video file and the TV. On a wide screen TV a wide screen movie will cover the full screen but a movie with a 4:3 ratio will have black bars on the sides. A 4:3 ratio TV will have black bars on the top and bottom while a 4:3 image will show up full screen. Some TV are able to stretch the image to eliminate the bars so that depends on the TV.
