Connecting M1 MBA to imac (2015) for Lightroom

I am thinking of using a new MBA for Lightroom and Photoshop and connecting it to my 2015 iMac. Not sure how to ask this: Is there a "degredation" of an image on the larger iMac screen. Will it appear more pixilated?

Also the reason I would be using the MBA instead of the Mini for portability and use on the road

Target display is not possible for the 2015 iMac as a display. Only older iMacs can do that.

Through their Thunderbolt 3 ports either natively or via an adapter to HDMI or DisplayPort.
