Ok, so I just got my new MacBook Pro yesterday. It's amazing! Don't believe all the negative hype you've been hearing. It's an amazing machine.

Anyway, I have figured out how to connect the video to the television using the adapter you can purchase from Apple. What do you use to connect the audio to the television? I have read nothing about this anywhere. Can someone help me out here?

Thanks!:)

It depends on what kind of input sockets the TV has.

It would most likely be either a jack to jack cable (3.5mm), or a jack to two phono cable.

You need a "mini-to-RCA left/right audio cable"
Its the picture shown above.

Do you have a digital receiver? (you can get digital out on your MBP via optical cables)

Alternatively, if you have digital in on your TV or Home cinema system, get a Toslink cable. You can pick them up extremely cheaply a lot of the time and if you have a surround system, the MBP will support 5.1 sound out.

Often you find cables with both ends in the toslink style, but with 3.5mm adapters. You will need at least one of these for your MBP.
