Connecting Macbook to a monitor (Basic questions)

Is there any brand monitor I can not hook the current low-end macbook to for external display?

What are my options for docking stations for fast hook-ups of a macbook to an external monitor/mouse/keyboard?

I am in the market for around a 20" flat-screen (LCD, plasma, whatever) for basic tasks (primarily word, internet, itunes.) I prefer low-price with reliability to high-price and performance. Any recommendations?

At the low end, I'd go with Dell. Nice quality and a decent price. I use a Dell 20" with a MBP on occasion and it works a treat.

Buy any monitor you want. If it has VGA input, get the mini DVI > VGA adapter, if it has DVI (Which is better) get the mini DVI > DVI adapter and there you go.

As long as it's not a 30", as the macbook won't drive it.

No docking stations for MacBooks, I miss mine for my HP Laptop. Just bought the wireless keyboard and mighty mouse and I am using a Samsung 27" LCD, nice but a pain to see the laptop open instead of closed lid.

you can use an external monitor with mb closed you know

connect the monitor close the mb and then awkae mb from sleep via a usb device or something

Not True, there is at least one expensive docking station for MB & MBPs
