Connecting Macbook to older tv

My tv is pretty old so it only has an s-video and rca composite cable inputs. There aren't any HDMI plug inputs.
What would be the best device to connect it to my macbook so that I can have audio and video?
I've been searching for a while and I am just really not sure what would work.

which macbook do you have? depends on what kind of video output you have as to what adapter you need, or if one is even available.

if it is a little older, and has mini-dvi, than you can use this.

you shouldn't think you can get a mini-displayport to DVI, and then get apple's DVI to video adapter. as the signal you need won't be on the DVI connection. When doing this it's best to go with one adapter as opposed to many.

for audio a 1/8" to RCA adapter will get you connected.

this will not be usable as a second monitor for text based things. For playing videos it will be ok, but not great.
