hi, how and what do i need to acheive this? Is there a simple cable i can pick up from the apple store?

I have a cinema display that i would like to connect to my macbook when watching films...

even better would be the ability to plug into a television... i know past ibooks had this feature as my teacher would often use his to do it...

just no idea about what i need on the hardware/software side of things...

many thanks

I belive you need a mini-DVI to DVI cable. You should be able to buy this a the Apple store, online, or at a computer store.

Yes you need the mini-DVI to DVI adapter to connect to the monitor and depending on the inputs on the tv a number of different cables. If it is an HDTV it will probably have an hdmi input and you can buy a HDMI to DVI cable to hook it up.

Is DVI a lot better than VGA? Will I notice a lot of difference or not? Got a HDMI port on my LCD so most likely going to use that.
