Hi all,

My Wife's got a new MBP and it's connected via a KVM to a 24 monitor at her desk.

Everything seems to work fine, but when she powers on, the image at the logon screen is completely blurred on the monitor (but fine on the MacBook).

It's not a major issue, as she can easily hit the M key and just type her password, but it is a little irritating.

Once she does log on, she has the desktop & dock on her monitor looking fine BTW.

Also, is there a setting that will enable her to close the lid on the laptop once she's logged on?

Cheers.

Umm, I'm so confused by this post.

LOL.

Basically, I hook up my external keyboard / monitor / mouse to the Mac while it is in sleep mode.

Then I press the space bar on my external USB keyboard, my mac wakes from sleep, and I'm able to use the monitor as my primary monitor. Displays login information, etc.

Also, Mac MUST be plugged in to power source for this to work.

She has her work laptop on the desk too, so that and her MBP connect to a KVM switch to share the keyboard, mouse and screen.

Once she's logged on, everything looks fine on the external monitor, the problem is it's hard when she goes to log on as she has to look over at the MBP to see what to do (she can see everything from boot up onwards on the main external monitor on her old (Windows) laptop and also when using her work laptop.

All she wants to do is be able to see the MBP's logon screen on the external monitor.

Also-to then be able to shut the lid of the MBP and carry on working using the external monitor.
