uMBP:

Is it possible to get the following:

1. miniDP -> DVI
2. DVI -> VGA
3. DVI -> HDMI

and connect different displays. Or will there be troubles because of the double converters (first to DVI and then to VGA or HDMI).

Thanks!

You're not clear enough to let us know,
if you want to use multiple external displays at once via those adapters
or use one external display at one time, you just have multiple monitors with different connectors.

To use multiple monitors at once, you can use
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/dh2go/
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/
.

Also Display-Port has the ability to daisy chain monitors like Firewire does with HDDs and such. But I don't know if it is implemented in Apple's mini-Display-Port (mDP).

If you want to use the monitors separately, it is best to use less adapters.

No mini-Display-Port to DVI to VGA/HDMI, just mDP to VGA/HDMI.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough... one display at a time.

I'm sure it's best to use less adapters but as it's mostly digital signal (except DVI-VGA) it doesn't really matter as long as it works (there won't be any diminished quality from multiple conversions).

All I want to know is whether this setup works.
