It works pretty well (I don't have a mini, but my PM and PB both have been connected to TVs as second monitors at times). Just don't expect miracles in terms of video quality unless you've got a really nice set.

Will this work with any DVI computer? It says PowerMac G5 or Mini, but why wouldn't it work on a QuickSilver G4?

Yes it will work with any DVI computer no problemo's

Seeing as you're from Canada, I would say that you won't be able to see the fonts too well unless you change the screen resolution down to 800x600 or 640x480. We have a pretty nice 27" TV set and you really can't read fonts too well on my iBook when the res is set at 1024x768.

It'll work well for DVDs, iPhoto slide shows, and stuff like that. But to use as a monitor, you're going to be disappointed.
