Hello everyone. This is my first Thread.

I currently use the iMac 27" and would like to connect my PC using mini DP. After researching, I'm aware I need to buy the Atlona DP400 and Belkin mini to mini cable. My Nvidia GTX480 only has HDMI and DVI outputs.

I'm having trouble getting a clear answer on whether I can use my wireless keyboard and magic mouse with my PC. Can I pair both devices to my PC and Mac, switching between the two?

The PC will be used for gaming, as it is way more powerful compared to the iMac(in the graphics department)

Thank you

Are the keyboard and mouse Bluetooth or USB? If they are USB, it will be easy, just unplug the receiver and put it in the other computer, or get a USB switch. If they are Bluetooth, then it might be more tricky but it should still work

These are the Apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse that come with the iMac

You'd have to switch off Bluetooth on the computer you're not using to allow the devices connect easily to the other machine.

I did this, for a while. It works fine but got too "faffy" and annoying, so I ended up buying a USB keyboard and mouse, and a USB switch.
