All iPads Connecting to iTunes for the first time

I got a new (to me) iPad Mini 4. I restored for. iCloud backup. I want to connect to iTunes to get the rest of my music, but when it did, it gave me the option of setting up as a new iPad or restoring from my last iTunes back up which was a year ago on another device

If I set up as a new iPad, will that delete everything I have and start again? Is there a way of syncing my music without going through this step?

Yeah, this is counter intuitive. Click set up as new, and instead of setting it up, it should just recognize the iPad is already set up and let you sync musc and whatnot.

Setting up as new doesn't delete anything.
