is it bad to connect to random wireless networks? i have about 6 in my area n im sure i can connect to maybe 1 of them... what am i risking? macs cant get viruses im told so is there anythin to worry about? any reason at all y i shouldnt?

The only reason I can think of is perhaps the some of the networks are private.
You really don't want to be connecting to someone else's network. If it's a public use network go ahead i would think!!

how can the difference between private and public? and is there anyway some1 can snoop n see what im doin if i connect to a private thinkin that its public?

It's very easy to see that someone is connected to your network.

I also believe that there are some programs that can see what web IP addresses that computer is accessing.

It's also i would imagine illegal...if not illegal, it's "frowned apon".
