I use an iMac at work and I connect to a windows 10 shared drive. After updating to Catalina, I cannot access the SMB shares at all. Strangely enough I can access them through parallels (Windows 10) but not from the MacOS side. I found online that NetBios is disabled by default in Catalina... So I created the file again, to allow NetBios to be enabled, with no success. I’ve also disabled file sharing and re-enabled it too. Nothing works. Frustrated, I went back to my recent time machine backup with Mojave and everything is back to normal. Anyone have any luck?

Ok that's good news. Have an x1 extreme now but miss macOs. Can you also work from home directly on the windows server? Had a mac 2 years ago and there I had to copy the server files (excel and word files) and work locally when working from home. I had no problems at work.
