Connecting Windows OS's to Mac OSX Lion Server

I cannot find anything online on how to connect a Windows PC to my Mac server. Can anyone point me to a step-by-step guide or tutorial?

I was under the impression that networking to my Windows OS's was going to be simple!

Can you be more specific? What are you trying to accomplish? Logging in, backup, accessing a website?
