Hi, I can't figure out how to connect my mac book bro to the Verizon Wirelss Actiontec Router. I also have an airport extreme router. If anyone could help me I would be so appreciative. ;)

Have you used the router before with another machine successfully?

If so, that makes things a bit easier.

Most likely, you want to setup the Airport Extreme as a bridge. This assumes the Verizon router is setup as a DHCP server for your LAN.

  1. In Airport Utility, use Manual Setup (or double-click on it in the device list).
  2. Click on "Internet" in the tool bar.
  3. Connect Using: Ethernet (connect your cable from the LAN port on the Verizon router to the WAN port on the Airport Extreme)
  4. Configure IPv4: Using DHCP
  5. Connection Sharing: Off (Bridge Mode)

That should get you connected. Now, you can add security. WPA2 Personal is probably the best choice. When the Airport Extreme restarts, you will have to enter your WPA2 password.

Hope this helps.
