I have a late 2006 core duo mini, Ive been having problems with wifi recently were whenever I try to connect to wifi I get a "connection timeout". The mini is fairly close to the modem and all my other computers connect without a problem so the modem isn't the problem. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have a smilar problem on my mini, also an '06 Core Duo. I believe it's due to the wireless card failing as the problem persists in Windows as well as OS X.

Mine usually works and connects for a solid 15-30 minutes, but then connection starts dropping, eventually disconnects, and can never reconnect after that.

I'm fairly confident my own personal issue is a hardware issue as it persists in Windows and Linux as well, as well as after several clean installs of SL. Hopefully the OP doesn't have the same luck as me.

It has nothing to do with what software version or operating system you're running. I encountered this exact issue and lost connection every 15-30 minutes, particularly evident when watching YouTube videos or other flash video content on the Internet, my broadband connection would just drop out. It would display the message "connection timeout" whenever I wanted to re-connect to my Wi-Fi.

To fix my issue at least, I plugged in my phone line into my wireless broadband hub's port and after that everything went smooth. You may not have a wireless port or phone line connecting to so I cannot help. I tried everything before solving this issue, and after 4 months figured it out myself.

This is a really annoying problem if you encounter it and if you do, contact your Internet provider.

Mine is a little different if i can get it to connect which is very rarely it will stay connected solidly but the problem is just getting it to connect
Did you recently upgrade to Snow Leopard? There's a known issue with wifi dropping in SL.
No im still running 10.5

Did you recently upgrade hardware on your Mac Mini like the hard drive as I did recently? Well, chances are the reason you're connection is timing out and you're not getting wifi is because the antenna got disconnected like mine did. You should check this to eliminate the possibility but I spent a good chunk of time pulling hairs out thinking it was a some network/router setting or .plist file I had to delete when all along it was the AirPort antenna cable connector that had easily popped off from the AirPort card.
