Consensus on screens 2009 imac & 24"led

Merry meet,
I have read a fair amount of criticism of lack of uniformity on the imac screen.
Now I am ¿wondering? if it is a fair and accepted agreement (amongst YOU with professional eyes) that the quality of the 24" led is far superior to that of the 2009 24" imac.

I'm going to guess that not too many "professional eyes" have fallen on both of these screens side-by-side.

what monitor/screen do you use?

I'm no pro, but I know that IPS displays without the glossy front are best for Photography. That would include most Apple Cinema Displays and lots made by other brands. The best deal going right now IMO is the Dell 2209WA, which retails for just $300. Tough to beat that.

It'd be interesting to know what the other photographers on MR use.
