Not really an emergency but my current itunes library is over 65GB. I have an iPhone (as well as an ipod touch 1st gen and a 60GB video ipod). I am feeling the frustrations of not being able to carry more than 14 GB of music with me (very diverse musical interests) and I am considering getting the classic for music enjoyment.

What opinions do you have on what could possibly be introduced at the september ipod event (if one occurs)? The only thing I see them being able to add/update is storage but feel that since they eliminated the 160 GB model - it may not be a priority.

Any ideas?

I have the first classic (80gb) and have almost considered upgrading to the 120gb JUST for the Genius feature. Now that I've used it on my phone or in iTunes, it is annoying when I have to make a playlist on the go for a specific type of music.
I've got to think that they're going to upgrading the storage. Aside from any radical changes, there isn't too much that I would think they could add.

theyll probably announce a 250 gb classic because there finally making a hard drive small enough wiht that much size. i dont really think theyll announce a huge cosmetic chage so unlesss you want to wait for 250 gigs go ahead and buy it now

Thanks for the feedback. I will probably jump on the 120GB classic now. That is more than enough for my music needs as I would hardly use the device for video.
