Considering a Mac Pro 6,1

My MP 5,1 has died of natural causes (power supply) and I'm looking at buying a 6,1 from a local ad agency that has the following specs. 3.5GHz, 32GB RAM, 256GB SSD, D500 GPUs.

I feel the price is right at $1900 USD. I've got a backlog of work that needs to get done so I need to buy now.

My only concern is the 256GB SSD. I'd like to know if anyone thinks it's possible to take my 1TB SSUBX SSD off my PCIe card in my 5,1 and either it being plug-n-play with the installed OS/Apps/Etc. or at least it will work after a format and clean install.

Go ahead and tell me how stupid I'm being...

I may be completely wrong but I believe you can still buy power supplies for the 5,1's. Not what you asked but I thought I would mention that.

I have to agree 100% with Mr. Payne on that one. The Mac Pro 5,1 from Apple is not just a computer. It is the one and only real Apple Mac that was really modular and extendable. It's the Stingray Corvette in computer you have on your hand. The best option by far would be to replace the power supply and keep using your existing machine, maybe even pimp it up a little. I absolutely would not part with the 5,1 just yet, not for a simple power supply swap.
My advice: Live a little.. do that power supply swap and book yourself a nice vacation..
The MP 6.1 will not cut it.

I think I will be ordering the power supply. There is/was nothing wrong with my workflow where my 5,1 is concerned. Was still doing the job up to the point when it died. I am getting by on a 2012 MacBook Pro for now.

Which PCI-e card supports Apple's SSDs (presumable the SSUBX reference) or this some M.2 card (and board card ) ?

I had to go to my receipts and check. It is a Sintech card and the SSD is actually the SSUAX 1TB card both purchased on eBay.
