considering an iPad to go with my 2010 MacBook Pro

I am considering an iPad to go with my mid 2010 13 inch MacBook Pro. wondering what model to get and why?

Maybe provide a bit of an idea of the use case, what you want to achieve, why you are looking for an iPad etc to make a recommendation?

probably use it like I do my MacBook Pro pretty much for internet, email maybe use it like I do my pro to access my companies servers so I can work outside in the loop instead of in the office and well since I have the iPhone XR, and the MacBook Pro it might be nice to have the next apple device

I recommend the 9.7 inch 2018 iPad.

Call me old school but I still perfer using my MacBook Pro over my iPad. Do you plan to replace your MacBook Pro with it?

No the OP stated that the iPad is supposed to go with the MBP.

I recommend one of the entry level iPads to get started and familiar with tablets.
