iPad mini Considering buying from John Lewis, are the Cellular versions unlocked?

Just wondering as the extra warranty is tempting but I'm not sure that it's worth it at the expense of having an iPad that then locked to the network of the first sim inserted.

i don't know about over there but in the US all iPads are always unlocked unless you buy it though the carrier on some kind of contract or payment plan. then they can lock it until you have paid off

It would be the same in the UK as well. I know it's not the same but I've gotten an apple watch cellular from John Lewis - unlocked.
