I really want an iPod Touch but I've been debating whether I should wait for the 64GB or buy a new 32GB right now... and then a third option hit me - buying a refurbished Touch from Apple. It's $339.00 for the 32GB (though its first-generation) vs. $399 new (second-generation) and that $60 could be spent on accessories or pay the tax/shipping on my order.
This all sounds good but I'm somewhat worried about refurbished products in general. Will it function as good as new (I know Apple says that but in the real world, will it?) Will battery life be as good as new or will the battery be somewhat drained from previous use? Is it worth saving $60 and getting a last-generation product? Are my chances of running into problems with the Touch in the future greater when buying refurb?
