I will be getting an iphone 3Gs next week (my first iphone) and have been lurking in these forums for a long time now. I am pretty sure I want to jailbreak my phone, but I have a quick question that perhaps someone could answer for me.

After jailbreaking an iphone and using cydia to install apps, what happens when I connect to itunes? Will the installed apps try to update and get flagged by itunes and reported?

Thank you for any assistance.

Nothing will happen to your jailbroken apps..its just like an addon for your phone. you can still use the appstore and install their app updates fine.

One day Apple will probably think of that but not yet. Once they do they'll put a recurring charge on your iTunes account

Could you please stop spreading BS like this?
Apple would never do something like that and they can't legally charge you for ANYTHING you didn't agree to buy.

Go ahead jailbreak the phone and install any third party app you want, apple ain't gonna do sh*t about it because they know they will loose ALOT of customers if they kill the scene.
