I'm in an interesting position with my technology now, I've got a nice new MBP for a laptop and I'm currently on an iPhone SE. Just landed a decent job which means I've decided at Christmas time I'll be buying EITHER a new iPhone 8 Plus OR An Apple Watch and a Nintendo Switch.. Just recently got into the 3DS for gaming and I'm by no means a big gamer but I want to get into handheld gaming more and would love to have the one ultimate portable device, being the iPhone 8 Plus, with a 26,800mha portable charger so it'll last for days whilst being able to game, edit work documents etc... By then there'll be a new iPhone to replace the 8 Plus meaning it should work out nicely... that's the background ...
What games on iOS are console class?
What I mean: have a story, long gameplay, hopefully not freemium and decent enough graphics. But even 2D titles like the old Zelda's etc that are good to get stuck into count! Not puzzles, freemium or things like that!
"but there is no console class games on iOS" I can remember a game called NOVA from the iPhone 3G days being amazing. Things like that must still exist now if they did back then with our powerful devices and Metal graphics. It doesn't need to be PS4/XB1 4K quality of course! Along the lines of the DS games with a bit of 3D is exactly what I'm picturing.
When I get my new iPhone I want to spend hours taking full advantage of it and be able to game anywhere I am hence my preference for the iPhone. Plus, I'm not a fan of paying £40 per game for the DS and more for a Switch despite them being good quality platforms..
So what do you recommend and why?
