I just want a single, stupid inbox along with each account having its own like they are now. I basically want my iphone to mimic the functionality of mac mail on my desktop where I can go to each individual inbox if I want to, or just look at all email sorted by date in the top inbox. Anyone else want this feature?

I would definitely put my vote in for that! cant stand swapping through all my accounts to check my emails.

I have all my email accounts going to gmail, so I have that feature on my iPhone. Maybe not the answer you were looking for, but it works.

I have several folders in Mail, and I use various rules to sort my mail into each one.
On my laptop, I can sort mail that is addressed to any address this way, but on my iPhone, it is only the Mobile Me account that works this way.
It's really a pain.
If I want to keep anything for later, and it is not addressed to my primary email address, I have to forward it to myself, at the other address, and then sort it!

I figure this lack has got to be one of the 2 biggest weakness of the iPhone--and one of the 2 that keep it from taking over from Blackberry in the corporate world. The other, of course, is the fact that you can't sort contacts by Company and display company/lastname/first name in the master list. While surname only is fine if all you have is a list of a few friends, it becomes impossible if you have as I do some 900 business contacts. PLEASE, please let these two problems be corrected in the new software update!!!

There should be a similar option to what they have for Contacts... All Contacts or contacts by groups/accounts. It's absurd that this isn't available yet. Also, they need to have a MARK ALL AS READ!!! It's so annoying that if I read an email on my computer I have to manually mark it as read on my phone!!! And don't say use IMAP b/c it's not the same at all.
I agree. Although i do sometimes want to check things separately.
I think overall it would be much more useful to have them all in one place. So annoying switching from inbox to inbox when there is only one unread email in each!!
